The New 2010 Rolex Watch Collection
Ok, so as you might have expected, theres no radical new offerings from Rolex. All of Rolex's models are built upon one unfailing blueprint. For the most part, variation among different models is rooted in changes in style and design. This year, to the Datejust collection, they've added the Datejust Lady 31mm, and the New Submariner Date, along with the New Explorer in 39mm. For starters, let's take a look at the New Datejust Lady 31 MM.
The watch boasts of a COSC certification, and as the name suggests, it has a 31mm case. This piece is waterproof to 100m (330ft). If you're an enthusiast, youll recognize the 2235 caliber movement, and that there are different bracelets on different models in the line-up. For the Oyster bracelet and clasp, and the Jubilee bracelet and crown clasp, you can have your choice. There are also varied amounts of diamonds, ranging from none at all to brilliant sets of 46. My personal favorite is the yellow gold and steel bracelet with a silver dial, which is pictured above. What a stunning way to display that you take yourself, and your style, seriously.
Next up is an exceptionally good looking Rolex, the new Submariner Date.
The case diameter is 40 mm, and it's made from 904L steel. Being a submariner, this watch is considerably water resistant, with a rating of 300m (1,000ft). Rolex, of course, uses the high quality 3135 caliber movement. In my extremely humble opinion, this is one of the best looking Rolex watches ever produced. The centerpiece of this piece is the ceramic bezel, which looks fantastic. Pictures are worth a thousand words, so here are a few more of this luxurious watch:
Heres the new Oyster Glidelock Bracelet, which I think looks absolutely smashing:
Finally, theres the New Explorer in 39MM:
The only edition is the fixed smooth bezel, and thats ok with us. The 3132 caliber movement is COSC certified and water resistant to 100m (330ft). Served up on an Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock clasp and Easylink, it should be plenty comfortable to wear.
All three of these are easily among the most impressive and handsome luxury watches, and are definitely worth taking a look at. As of the time of this posting, there probably isnt much of an offering of these on the Bay, but thatll change soon enough.
